The Brazilian Society of Cardiology (in portuguese: Sociedade Brasileira de cardiologia – SBC) announces that applications are open from May 26 to June 16, 2025, for the selection process of the Editor-in-Chief of the Internationasl Journal of Cardiovascular Sciences (IJCS).

The International Journal of Cardiovascular Sciences (IJCS) was established in 2015, succeeding its predecessors: Revista da SOCERJ and the Revista Brasileira de Cardiologia, founded in 1998 and 2010, respectively. Available in electronic format and published in English, the journal is indexed in major databases. All published scientific contributions undergo peer review by members of the Editorial Board and the team of reviewers, selected from among the most prominent researchers in Brazil and abroad.

The selection process will follow strict academic and technical criteria in accordance with the SBC Bylaws and applicable internal regulations. The selected Editor-in-Chief will serve a three-year term, renewable once through a new public call, and will be responsible for leading the journal’s editorial strategy, promoting its internationalization, and ensuring the scientific excellence of its publications.
