Call for papers! Thematic Collection on Cardiac Amyloidosis

The International Journal of Cardiovascular Sciences is pleased to invite Brazilian and international researchers to submit articles for the thematic collection on cardiac amyloidosis, which will have Dr. Marcos Vinícius Simões as responsible editor and will be published in 2024
Cardiac amyloidosis is a rare and serious disease that results from the accumulation of amyloid proteins in the heart. The disease can cause a variety of symptoms, including heart failure, arrhythmias, peripheral embolism, dysautonomia, angina with normal coronary arteries, and others.
The aim of this thematic collection is to gather high-quality articles that contribute to the advancement of knowledge about cardiac amyloidosis. It will be accepted articles on the following areas:
- Manifestations of cardiac amyloidosis — not exclusively heart failure — such as arrhythmias, peripheral embolism, dysautonomia, angina with normal coronary arteries and others.
- Pathophysiology of cardiac amyloidosis.
- Diagnostic tests for cardiac amyloidosis.
- Economic approaches to healthcare.
- Studies on quality of life.
Original articles, review articles and case reports will be accepted.
The final submission deadline has been extended to April 30, 2024.
Articles must be submitted in electronic format, according to the instructions available on the IJCS website and through the system at the address: https://mc04.manuscriptcentral.com/ijcs-scielo
